Perayaan Hari Malaysia 2009 and Pameran Kemerdekaan

KUCHING - 10th October 2009, Last weekend is quite a busy week for all Kuching residence since lot of events is taking place. "Perayaan Hari Malaysia 2009" is one of the events highlighted that weekend. The event started as early as 2pm with road closure already taking place for VVIP pass by. The event is attended by high goverment officials such as The Prime Minister of Malaysia, The Head of State, Chief Minister of Sarawak and others parliament members and also head of departments and communities. The main event started at 8pm with the arrival of The Prime Ministers of Malaysia then followed by VVIP speeches, rising of Malaysia Flag and ended with the presentation of awards to 10 war heroes. The second part of the event is the concert by some locals artiste such as Bob AF, Fig Mentor, Roy, Hans, Claudia, Karen and a few others. The event finish with the fireworks displays.

In conjunction with the Perayaan Hari Malaysia 2009, another main event is taking place at waterfront square which is "Pameran Kemerdekaan". The event consists of two parts which is the display of weaponry and the islamic "Semarak Hadhari". Visitors can witness for themself the tradisional weapon from different states in Malaysia and even how it's made....
